The North-South International Transport Corridor is of great importance in terms of the development of the tripartite cooperation policy of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Iran, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said during a meeting with Azerbaijani and Iranian officials in Baku.
"The full-scale use of transport and logistics opportunities of the corridor will open commercial and economic opportunities for the countries. Within 2-3 months, proposals for solving 'narrow' issues within the corridor's development should be prepared. Financing, management, and operational issues must also be addressed. All of these are important to reach a full-fledged international agreement," Novak noted.
