The implementation of the Kars-Igdir-Aralik-Diluju-Sadarak-Nakhchivan-Julfa railway project is of great importance in terms of ensuring direct railway communication between Azerbaijan and Turkiye via Nakhchivan.
The participants in the 10th session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkiye held in Baku voiced confidence that the Azerbaijani-Turkish economic and trade ties will be boosted through the opening of the Zangazur Corridor and the construction of the railway to Nakhchivan.
They also highly appreciated the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkiye in the sphere of transport and noted that over the nine months of this year the volume of cargo transportation between the two countries has grown by 60.2%, including 96.3% in transit cargo.
