The project on the expansion to four lanes of the 130-kilometer section of the Ganja-Qazakh-Georgian border section of the M2 highway, which is part of the Great Silk Road, is planned to be completed by the end of the year.
Report has learned from the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads that the construction work is 95% complete.
According to the project, the total width of the subgrade is 27.5 meters. The road will have 4-6 traffic lanes, each 3.75 meters wide, covered with polymeric asphalt concrete.
In total, 25 road junctions and overpasses, 16 road bridges, 82 underpasses, 39 rectangular water crossings, 574 drainage pipes are being built along the road. As part of the project, it is planned to build 84 bus stops.
