Twenty-nine flights were delayed at Moscow airports, 109 were canceled, Report informs.

The flights have been canceled not only to cities with closed airports in southern Russia, but also to cities such as Ulyanovsk or Chelyabinsk.

So, seven flights were delayed, 52 were canceled in Vnukovo airport, nine flights were delayed, eight were canceled in Domodedovo, 13 flights were delayed, 49 were canceled in Sheremetyevo.

In Vnukovo, flights to Krasnodar, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Stavropol, Sochi, Chelyabinsk, Ulyanovsk and Elista were canceled for the next three hours, flights to Naryan-Mar, Mineralnye Vody and Nalchik were delayed. Flights to Casablanca and Navoi were canceled at Domodedovo, flights to Sochi and Yerevan were delayed. Sheremetyevo canceled flights to Madrid, Havana, Zurich, Milan, Madrid, Paris, Belgrade, Berlin, Yerevan, Belgorod and Simferopol, delayed flights to Kazan, Antalya, Istanbul, Yerevan, Sharm el-Sheikh, Cheboksary and Larnaca.

Airports in southern Russia have suspended work in connection with the military operation in Ukraine. For this, a number of countries, including the entire European Union, imposed sanctions on Russia and closed airspace for Russian aircraft.
