The Baku Metro, operated by the Baku Metropolitan CJSC, currently has no plans to change its operating schedule during the upcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, Bakhtiyar Mammadov, the head of the CJSC's press service, told journalists.
According to Report, Mammadov noted that a significant number of guests are expected to arrive in Baku for COP29. "In connection with this, the metro will implement appropriate adjustments in line with the operating mode of the above-ground city infrastructure. Currently, we are in the process of ensuring intensive communication with all relevant organizations, including consultations with the COP29 Operating Company, receiving recommendations, and collecting various information," he said.
Mammadov emphasized that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure the comfort of both COP29 guests and regular passengers who use the Baku Metro daily during the climate conference.
