Mahmud Mammad-Guliyev: Iraq can use Zangazur corridor

New opportunities have been created in the region after Azerbaijani lands were liberated, Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mahmud Mammad-Guliyev said, speaking at the 2nd session of the Joint Commission between Azerbaijan and Iraq held in Baku.

He said the Zangazur corridor, which is planned to be created, will connect East and West: "Iraq can also use this corridor."

Moreover, he noted that Iraqi business people could also enjoy the opportunities of the Free Economic Zone in the Alat settlement of Baku's Qaradag district.

"The Joint Commission plays an important role in terms of expanding cooperation between the two countries. Such meetings will serve the development of bilateral relations. Along with discussions in the economic sphere, I consider it expedient to hold political consultations between the countries. The cooperation protocol to be signed as part of today's session is essential in terms of developing relations," Mammad-Guliyev said.
