Long-term repair and restoration work completed in Nizami metro - PHOTO

Baku. 3 October. REPORT.AZ/ Long-term overhaul and reconstruction work has been completed at Nizami subway station, which is the embodiment of Azerbaijani architecture.

The measures, which lasted about one year, were carried out in several stages without full restriction of arrival of passengers.

Most importantly, national architectural samples of the internal design of the station, named after the great Azerbaijani thinker, poet, philosopher, Sheikh Nizami Ganjavi, were restored during the repair process.

Notably, exploitation period of the escalators at Nizami station will be completed by 2025.

Therefore, replacement of escalators used in the station and overhaul of the vestibule will be carried out in the future.
