The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor) is capable of fundamentally changing the level of Eurasian cooperation, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said at the Kazakhstan-Singapore Business Forum on May 23, Report informs.

"This is the shortest and most stable route from Central and East Asia to Europe. We believe that Singaporean companies and financial institutions can greatly benefit from exploring business and investment opportunities in this area," Tokayev noted.

According to him, geographical distance and inadequate relations have hindered economic interaction for a long time: "Today, thanks to globalization and infrastructure development, countries are more connected than ever."

The president named the synergistic partnership between Kazakhstan's KTZ company and Singapore's PSA International company aimed at expanding the Middle Corridor as an example.

The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route is an international transport corridor that passes through the territory of China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia and extends to Türkiye and European countries.
