Joint action plan on Trans-Caspian Int’l Transport Route discussed

Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have discussed a joint action plan for the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, Report informs referring to Azerbaijan Railways CJSC.

On December 27 in Astana, a meeting was held between the delegations of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and Kazakhstan Railways JSC. The meeting participants discussed prospects for the development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of transport and logistics, in particular, a joint action plan for the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.

In particular, an exchange of views was held on the conditions for the transportation of goods from China and Kazakhstan through Azerbaijan, the competitiveness of the corresponding route and the attraction of additional volumes of goods.

At the meeting, the parties were informed in detail about the comprehensive measures being taken to increase the attractiveness of the routes passing through Azerbaijan.
