Javid Gurbanov: Construction of Baku-Yalama railway to start next year

There is a need for express trains in Guba-Gusa, Lankaran, Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways Javid Gurbanov said in AZTV, Report informs.

According to him, funds were allocated for construction of this infrastructure in the northern zone: "Projection of railway to Shahdag resort is about to complete."

"Land works in Lankaran are about to complete. After these works, we’ll start to work for involvement of funds from the World Bank. There is a tourism potential in the sea side of Lankaran after the reserve," Gurbanov said.

According to him, ADB allocated funds for the part up to Russia, Yalama: "Negotiations are underway. We are not working to select a company. Construction works will commence next year."
