Airports in Istanbul have halted the flights landing and departure due to hurricane, Report informs, citing Turkish Airlines.
The company advises passengers to check flight information on the airlines' website or in call centers.
Due to strong winds, check-in for flights departing from Istanbul has been suspended. With regard to the aircraft in the air, an assessment is being made of the possibility of redirecting them to other airports, the company spokesperson told RIA Novosti.
Turkey has been struck by hurricane since yesterday, with the wind gusts reaching 130 km/h in some places. At least six people died as a result of the stormy weather.
