Hikmet Hajiyev: Restoration of liberated Azerbaijani territories - unique experience

The restoration of the liberated Azerbaijani territories is a unique experience that can be shared with the international community, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev said at the signing of an agreement between the government of Azerbaijan and the UN on holding the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku in 2026, Report informs.

Hajiyev noted that during the 30-year occupation, nine cities and hundreds of settlements in Azerbaijan were completely destroyed.

The presidential aide added that Azerbaijan will try to hold the WUF at a high level, working closely with partners.

“I would like to thank all UN structures for supporting Azerbaijan,” Hajiyev said.
