EU to support improvement of weather forecasting in Azerbaijan

The European Union (EU) will implement a new twinning project in the next 2-3 months together with the Hydrometeorological Research Institute of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Rainer Freund, project manager at the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, told Report.

According to him, the project aims to improve the ability to predict climate change.

“The budget for such projects varies from 500,000 to 1 million euros. The project will be launched after the Azerbaijani side agrees,” the EU official said.
