In May 2020, Azerbaijani citizens bought 42 houses in Turkey, down 48 houses or 2.14-fold from the previous year, Report informs, citing Turkish Statistical Institute.
In January-May 2020, 361 Azerbaijani citizens bought houses in Turkey, down 103 houses, or 22.2% by contrast to 2019.
In the reporting period, 12,734 foreigners owned properties in Turkey, down 4,718 properties, or 27.03% from a year earlier.
The number of properties sold to foreign citizens in Turkey in May 2020 decreased by 3,097 units or 4.55-fold to 870.
Iranian citizens purchased most of the houses in Turkey – 209 apartments in May, 2,230 in January-May.
The next place was held by Iraqi citizens with 143 houses in May, 2,102 houses in January-May.
Afghan citizens bought 48 houses in May, 746 in January-May.
