Azerbaijan wants to join UN Convention on Carriage of Goods by Sea

Azerbaijan wants to join the United Nation Convention on Carriage of Goods by Sea, as was reflected in the Road Map for 2024 of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings of Azerbaijan on increasing the efficiency of state services on border trade, Report informs.

It was noted that the possibility of joining the UN Convention on Carriage of Goods by Sea (Hamburg, 1978) should be analyzed, and the results should be reported to the Commission along with the relevant proposals after conducting a preliminary assessment.

Proposals should be prepared by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Customs Committee and the Ministry of Justice (with the involvement of the private sector) by June this year.
