Azerbaijan records remarkable growth in air travels

A total of 1,393,600 passengers were transported by air in Azerbaijan during the first three months of 2024, marking a 44.2-percent rise year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.

Of the total transportation, 99.9 percent was carried out by public aircraft, and 0.1% by private air vehicles.

During the first quarter of 2024, the volume of cargo transportation by air in Azerbaijan rose by 15.5% compared to the same period of last year and reached 162,000 tons.
