Azerbaijan and Turkey expand cooperation in road transport

The State Motor Transport Service under the Ministry of Transport (DANX), Communications and High Technologies, the Azerbaijan International Road Carriers Association (ABADA), and the International Transporters Association of Turkey (UND) held a joint online conference on future cooperation, Report informs, citing the State Service.

Opening the conference, Habib Hasanov, the head of the State Road Transport Service, informed the participants on the reforms and measures taken in international road transport between Azerbaijan and Turkey and spoke about the prospects for future cooperation.

ABADA Deputy Secretary-General Kanan Gurbanov presented the latest statistics on transportation between the two countries. These indicators were compared with previous years.

UND Chairman of the Board Cetin Nuhoglu spoke about the importance of exchanging experience of drivers involved in international transport. The meeting participants decided to establish a joint working group to organize and coordinate regular meetings and discussions within the program.

At the end of the event, ABADA and UND reached an agreement on the exchange of experience in education to expand further cooperation in transportation between the two countries.
