AZAL, Turkish Airlines mull co-op prospects in aviation sector

Strengthening cooperation in the field of civil aviation and further development of air relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye have been discussed at a meeting between Samir Rzayev, first vice president of AZAL CJSC, and Ahmet Bolat, chairman of the Board and Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines, Report informs referring to AZAL.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 79th IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit in Istanbul.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the national air transportation of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, as well as the possibility of expanding the route network between the two fraternal countries were discussed.

According to Samir Rzayev, Türkiye is one of Azerbaijan’s key partners in the aviation sector, and cooperation between airlines is of great importance for both states.

In turn, Ahmet Bolat expressed confidence that a successful partnership would help strengthen tourism, economic and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.

Both sides confirmed their readiness to further strengthen partnership and joint development of projects in the field of civil aviation, including the exchange of experience.
