Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and its low-cost subsidiary Buta Airways carried 574,200 passengers in 2020, down 78.7% from 2019, said the report of the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to Report, cargo and luggage transportation slipped 66.6% to 5,000 tonnes, mail traffic dropped 66.2% to 171,500 tonnes.

The number of passengers carried via international flights descended 80.4% to 407,700.

166,500 passengers were transported on domestic routes.

Passenger turnover in AZAL's airlines fell 79.3% to 980.6 million PKM, in international flights went down 80% to 864.7 million PKM.
