Agreement on transit transportation in CAREC region being developed with Azerbaijan’s participation

An agreement is being developed to form the legal basis for transit transportation under the CAREC Advanced Transit System (CATS) and the Information Common Exchange, Report informs referring to the State Customs Committee (SCC).

The agreement was discussed at the 4th meeting of the Technical Working Group on the pilot phase of the CATS project, implemented within the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) program of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), in Tashkent.

At the meeting, separate sessions of three working groups consisting of representatives of the customs authorities of the participating countries and ADB experts were also organized.
