Azerbaijan sees decline in beverage production

Azerbaijan produced 6,561,200 dekaliters of beverage in January-March 2022, down 1.2% from a year earlier, Report informs, with reference to the State Statistical Committee (SSC).
In the reporting period, the vodka production made up 262,500 dekaliters (35.9% less than a year ago), whiskey-cognac production rose 25% to 6,000 dekaliters, grape wine production went up by 89.2% to 157,600 dekaliters, beer production slipped 28.5% to 706,600 dekaliters, and soft drinks production increased by 5.3% to 5,428,500 dekaliters.
As of April 1, the finished products on alcoholic drinks were 1,413,600 dekaliters, on soft drinks – 316,500 dekaliters, respectively, down 6.7% and twice from the previous year.
