Azerbaijan’s passenger car output surges by nearly 72%

In January-September 2024, Azerbaijan manufactured 3,623 passenger cars, marking a 71.7% increase year-on-year, Report informs citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
As of October 1, 2024, the country had 590 ready-made products in stock.
In total, the country manufactured machinery and equipment worth 562.3 million manats (over $330.7 million), other vehicles, cars, trailers, and semi-trailers in the first two months of this year.
Compared to the corresponding period in 2023, the manufacturing of cars, trailers, and semi-trailers grew by 53.4%, while the manufacturing of machinery and equipment fell by 40.1%, and other vehicles output dropped by 52.8 percent.
During the first nine months of 2024, Azerbaijan produced 461 tractors, a decline of 14.8% compared to January-September 2023. As a result, the country had a stock of 11 ready-made products as of October 1, 2024.
At the same time, the country produced 394 trucks during this period, which is 0.8% more than the indicator for 2023. As a result, the country had a stock of 47 ready-made products as of October 1.
