Azerbaijan resumes polyethylene supply from three countries

In January-November 2021, Azerbaijan spent $31.439 million for imports of 24,243.04 tons of polyethylene, respectively, up 4.94% and down 20.96% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
In the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 18,125.97 tons of polyethylene ($22.527 million) from Iran, 3,771.15 tons ($4.207 million) from Saudi Arabia, 712.25 tons ($1.362 million) from the USA, 497.32 tons ($1.026 million) from Korea, and 300.44 tons ($607,520) from Turkey.
The country resumed imports of polyethylene from Austria after three months, from Oman after 2 years and 3 months and from Germany after 2 years and 5 months.
Austria exported 49.05 tons of polyethylene worth $95,040 to Azerbaijan, Oman – 13.75 tons worth $27,740 and Germany – 0.04 tons worth $800.
