Azerbaijan posts over 5% decline in beverage production

Azerbaijan produced 10,065,000 dekaliters of beverage in January-April 2022, up 5.3% from a year earlier, Report informs, with reference to the State Statistical Committee (SSC).
In the reporting period, the vodka production made up 360,700 dekaliters (33.5% less than a year ago), whiskey-cognac production rose by 37.9% to 8,000 dekaliters, grape wine production stood at 214,300 dekaliters (up 51.8% from the previous year), beer production slipped 23.7% to 1,083,600 dekaliters, soft drinks production increased by 12.7% to 8,398,100 dekaliters.
As of May 1, the finished products on alcoholic drinks were 1,474,200 dekaliters, on soft drinks – 468,600 dekaliters, respectively, down 12.7% and 40.5% from the previous year.
