Azerbaijan posts 31% growth in car production

From January through September 2023, Azerbaijan produced machinery and equipment, cars, trailers, and semi-trailers, and other vehicles worth 496.4 million manats (roughly $292 million), Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

Machinery and equipment production surged by 21.1%, cars, trailers, and semi-trailers by 31.2%, and other transport facilities went down by 21.1%.

For the January-to-September period of 2022, 2,110 private vehicles were produced in Azerbaijan, 39.7% more than the same period last year. As of October 1, 2022, the country has stocked 497 finished products.

During the first nine months of this year, Azerbaijan produced 541 tractors, 10.6% more than in January-September 2022. As a result, the country had 12 finished products as of October 1.

In the reporting period, the country assembled 285 trucks, showing a 13.5% growth in comparison to a year earlier. As of October 1, 2023, the finished products stood at 9.
