In January-September 2021, Azerbaijan exported 223,727,300 tons of methanol (methyl alcohol) worth $48,646,000.
Under Report's calculations, based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, this is 37.3% more in value terms, and 36.1% less in quantitative terms than in the same period last year.
During the reporting period, 99,799,350 tons of products were exported to Turkey totaling $21.466 million, to the Netherlands - 40,493,350 tons for $9.072 million, to Israel - 22,364.6 tons for $4.839 million, to Italy - 18,248.6 tons for $3.892 million, to Slovenia - 18,469 tons for $3.693 million, to Romania - 16,240.55 tons for $3.574 million, to the UK - 8,111.8 tons for $2.109 million.
After a two-year hiatus, exports to Slovenia have resumed. For at least the last decade (note: official foreign trade statistics are publicly available as of 2011) there has been no supply of methanol to Britain.
In the first nine months of 2021, the country imported only 9.01 tons of methanol in the amount of $880, which is 99.62% and 95.14% less than a year earlier. Azerbaijan imported these products from Turkey, Germany, and France.
