Baku. 28 April. REPORT.AZ/ The last round of Shamkir Chess 2018, which is dedicated to the memory of the late grandmaster Vugar Hashimov has started.
Report informs central match of the IX tour was played between Norwegian world champion Magnus Carlsen and Chinese Ding Liren.
The match ended in a draw in the 28th move. Carlsen, who scored 6 points from 9 games, became three-time winner of ShamkirChess. The Chinese grandmaster took the second place with 5.5 points. The remaining 4 meetings are ongoing.
Azerbaijani representatives who lost their chances of winning Rauf Mammadov (white figures) plays with Shakhriyar Mammadyarov and Teymur Rajabov (black figures) with David Navara.
