Baku. 19 September. REPORT.AZ/ The World Judo Championship draw ceremony was held in Baku.

Report informs that the event  held at Hilton Hotel was attended by President of the International Judo Federation Marius Vizer, vice-president of the organization Sergey Soloveychik, sports director Vladimir Barta, refereeing director Juan Carlos Barcos, vice-president of Azerbaijan Judo Federation Elnur Mammadli, Secretary General of Azerbaijan Judo Federation Elmar Babanli, head of the International Relations Department Zaur Mutallimov, Olympic champion Nazim Huseynov and representatives of the participating countries.

According to the results of the draw, total of 460 men and 298 female judokas will participate in the world championship. Men will participate in the weight categories of 60 kg, 66 kg, 73 kg, 81 kg, 90 kg, 100 kg and +100 kg while women in 48 kg, 52 kg, 57 kg, 63 kg, 70 kg, 78 kg and +78 kg. According to the draw, 19 countries will compete in mixed team competitions. Azerbaijan's first rival will be Austria.

In addition, South Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will compete as a single team. This will not apply to individual races.
