Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov announced the reasons for the appointment of Mariana Vasileva, former head coach of the Azerbaijani rhythmic gymnastics team, as a deputy minister.
According to Report, Gayibov wrote about this in an article on the official website of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan.
He said Vasileva is a true professional: "On November 29, President Ilham Aliyev appointed two deputy ministers of youth and sports. Mariana Vasileva is a highly experienced, professional, disciplined, responsible and result-oriented specialist. Another deputy, Indira Hajiyeva, is a professional who has come a long way in the field of youth policy and works in the ministry."
Gayibov said that the ministry is developing a strategy for the coming years. "For this purpose, it is planned to conduct extensive sociological studies.
"We are considering to implement a multi-component project to increase the knowledge and skills of specialists working in the ministry and subordinate agencies.”
The minister also spoke about targets: "Our goal is to increase our standards and potential at all levels related to youth and sports, to create new tools for youth development. I am confident that by working together and systematically ‘with the youth for the youth’, we will see the successful youth of the victorious nation," he said.
