Baku plays host to international judo seminar

Baku. 6 January. REPORT.AZ/ Seminar for judo referees and coaches under auspices of International Judo Federation (IJF) has today started in Baku.

Report informs, 400 participants from 100 countries attend the seminar started on January 6.

President of Azerbaijan Judo Federation (AJF) Rovnag Abdullayev and IJF president Marius Vizer held a meeting and answered questions of reporters before seminar.

Then the seminar was opened. R.Abdullayev in his opening speech told that they are proud of hosting such a big event on such a popular sport like judo. He extended his thanks to IJF for commissioning AIF to host such an event. AJF president talked about development of judo in the country during last years.

IJF president spoke about importance of the seminar. He touched upon changes in rules.

Notably, the seminar held in Heydar Aliyev Sport Palace will last two days. Heads of all IJF committees, officials of continental federations, presidents of French, Mongolian, Turkish and other national federations attend the event. The aim of the event to bring to attention of attendants theoretical and practical aspects of changes in management and organization rules.
