Azerbaijan's Minister of Youth and Sports leaves for Beijing

Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gaibov will visit China in connection with the upcoming Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, Report informs.

According to Ministry's Spokesperson Gabil Mehdiyev, the minister will watch the performances of Azerbaijani representatives at the Olympics.

Azerbaijan is represented by two athletes in one sport in Winter Olympics. Figure skaters Vladimir Litvintsev and Ekaterina Ryabova will try their hand at the competition. Litvintsev is the team's standard-bearer, and he will take to the ice on February 8 and February 10. Ryabova will show her skills on February 15 and February 17. The Beijing Winter Olympics ends on February 20.
