AMADA holds anti-doping seminar for weightlifters

An anti-doping seminar was held under the joint organization of the Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation and the Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA), Report informs.

The event took place in the conference hall of ASK Arena.

The weightlifters and coaching staff of national teams of all age groups participated in the seminar conducted by Gudrat Safarov, manager of educational programs at AMADA.

Comprehensive information was provided regarding the consequences of using banned substances for participants, the penalties for taking them, the banned list and the criteria for its compilation, the rules for taking tests during and outside the competition, the location information of athletes, the Anti-Doping Administration & Management System (ADAMS), Exceptions for Therapeutic Use, and other important points.

The seminar was held interactively, in an engaging manner, allowing attendees to inquire about topics of interest, leading to lively debates. In conclusion, the athletes took part in a confidential survey on anti-doping.
