Taxi with Azerbaijani citizens attacked in Georgia - PHOTO

Baku. 26 November. REPORT.AZ/ A taxi driver and passengers heading from Azerbaijan to Georgia have been subjected to an armed attack near the Red Bridge customs border point on the Azerbaijani-Georgian border.

Report informs citing the press service of the Georgian Interior Ministry that the incident happened this morning. Unidentified men blocked the way for the car, came out and beat  the driver. The passengers who, according to Rustavi 2 TV channel, are the citizens of Azerbaijan, were also injured.

The attackers took away their money, car keys and fleed the scene.

The driver's son said that the law breakers used a gas spray gun.

The criminal proceedings have been instituted under the article 'Robbery' punishable with 5 to 7 years inprisonment.
