SBS prevents drugs trafficking from Iran to Azerbaijan

As a result of search operations, 1 black bag hidden in the wood was revealed and seized in the service area near Sim village of the Astara district in the Lankaran border guard of the State Border Service.

Report informs citing the press service of the SBS that 24 kg and 785 grams of drugs (13 kg 240 grams of heroin, 1 kg 535 grams of methamphetamine, 10 kg and 10 grams of opium, 1,500 methadone-40 pills) were revealed and seized.

An immediate operative-search operation was carried out on the fact, and Iranian citizen Azimi Ahmed Amanulla, born in 1982, was detained on suspicion of drug trafficking near Sim village in Astara district.

The operational- investigative measures are underway on the fact.
