Police conduct ‘face mask raid’ in Baku

To prevent the mass spread of the coronavirus in the capital, enhanced control and preventive measures continue in permitted indoor areas and roads.

Throughout the raid, citizens were explained that each person must strictly follow the applicable rules, and based on social responsibility, observe the current sanitary and hygienic rules and requirements to protect themselves, their loved ones, and others.

Police officers handed over face masks to passengers who did not have one.

During the inspections carried out by the metropolitan police and the internal troops, those who left their homes without an appropriate permit (SMS permission), who did not use personal protective equipment, including medical masks, were fined under the relevant article of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
