Internationally wanted person extradited from Ukraine to Azerbaijan

An internationally wanted Azerbaijani has been arrested in Ukraine, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office told Report.

The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan has requested the extradition of a person who committed a crime in Azerbaijan within the framework of bilateral relations with the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine in accordance with the requirements of national legislation and international treaties to which Baku is a party, including the Minsk Convention on Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters.

Thus, there are reasonable suspicions that Jabbarov Seymur Ibrahim oglu, involved in the criminal case under the Ganja City Prosecutor's Office, misappropriated other people's property entrusted to him by repeatedly misusing his official position to cause significant material damage. Jabbarov has been declared internationally wanted.

Seymur Jabbarov was extradited to Azerbaijan on November 2, 2021, accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice on the basis of a request from the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan to the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine to determine the whereabouts of the wanted person.
