Interior Ministry appeals to upcoming returnees of Zangilan’s Agali village

"The return to the homeland is approaching. People are in a hurry. It is clear," Interior Ministry Spokesperson Police Major Elshad Hajiyev told Report.

"But we need to show some patience and restraint. There are temporary posts on the roads leading to the liberated territories to protect our citizens from danger. These posts are kept to prevent unauthorized visits to the liberated territories because there is still danger. It's no secret that 53 percent of post-war tragedies occurred as a result of illegal visits to those areas.

"Demining operations are being carried out rapidly, and restoration and construction work is being carried out to ensure the safe return of citizens to the cleared areas. It is already known that in 2022, the first residents will be relocated to Agali village of Zangilan District. It is necessary to properly inform and educate these residents, inform them about the rules of conduct in dangerous areas. Work is underway in this direction. Each of us needs to work harder and harder, share and distribute more information. Karabakh is Azerbaijan!" he said.
