During April battles, damage to civilian objects exceeded $2.1M

From April 2 through April 28, 2016, as a result of violation of the ceasefire regime and shelling of Aghdam, Goranboy, Fuzuli, and Aghjabadi districts of Azerbaijan, 6 civilians were killed, 29 received injuries of varying severity and damage to civilian objects amounted to 3,680,336 manats ($2,164,980), Senior Assistant to the Prosecutor General for Special Assignments Ilgar Safarov said at a joint briefing of the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in connection with the crimes committed by the armed forces and illegal armed groups of Armenia against Azerbaijan since 1988, Report informs.

According to him, 35 criminal cases were opened on the facts of shelling in Aghdam, Goranboy, Fuzuli, and Aghjbadi districts from April 2 through April 28, 2016, on which a preliminary investigation was carried out.

"In April, as a result of Armenian aggression, 90 servicemen were killed, and an attempt was made to kill 333 servicemen," he said.
