Baku. 21 September. REPORT.AZ/ Some details emerged of a family kept in a refugee camp in Belgium and waiting for deportation to Azerbaijan.

Those who support the family told Report that the family head is not a citizen of Azerbaijan, but a Chechen national, citizen of the Russian Federation Magomed Batchiyev Salikovich, born in 1979. His other name is Timur Bagayev Salikovich. His wife Rugiyya Mammadova Vagif, born in 1981, is Azerbaijani, but all members of the family are Russian citizens.

At the same time contrary to the reports saying "nobody helps the family with infants", the family gets support from the Azerbaijani diaspora in Belgium, and even the members of local associations extend their helping hand to the family through all means. The family settled in Belgium illegally and did not join any events related to the Azerbaijanis. Since the woman in the family is Azerbaijani and children are infants, if their deportation to Azerbaijan is on the agenda, the diaspora in the country will use all possible means to return them to normal life," people who support the family said.

The State Committee on Work with Diaspora and diaspora organizations in Belgium also express some concerns about this issue: "In some cases, we are disappointed by the misinformation about the diaspora's indifference to the issue. This is not fair."

Notably, the details on the issue were first published on Open.az.
