Bulgarian prosecutor general: Activities of Azerbaijan's Main Anti-Corruption Department - good experience for EU

The activity of Azerbaijan's General Directorate for Combating Corruption is a good model and best practice for the EU, Bulgaria's Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev said in an interview with local media, Report informs.

"During my trip to Azerbaijan, I visited the Main Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General of this country, which, in terms of its powers and organization, almost doesn't differ from the specialized prosecutor's office. I got acquainted with the results achieved by my colleagues. This is a good model and advanced experience throughout the European Union," Geshev said.

He noted that the department he leads also uses the most effective means of combating organized crime.
