Baku. 22 January. REPORT.AZ/ The prosecutor general's office of Azerbaijan has sent an official appeal to the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's office over persecution and threats against the employee at the Report Information Agency, Mubariz Aslanov, by unknowns in Kiev on November 19-29, 2018.

The Azerbaijan Press Council informs citing Report that they received a notice from the General Prosecutor's Office in this regard.

In its message the Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office requests all necessary steps to ensure the control by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's office of the lawsuit carried in the Pechorski district police into the fact of journalist Aslanov's persecution and intimidation in Kiev, intentify the culprits and hold them accountable and ensure the journalist's security in this country.

During his working trip to Kiev on November 19-29, editor at Report Information Agency Mubariz Aslanov was traced by unknowns, who followed him in Skoda car with a AA6164BI state license plate, took his photos, then blocked his way and threatened him with a gun.
