Speaking at the event, Consul General Nasimi Aghayev stressed the solid fraternal ties between Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Turkey and their communities in Los Angeles. The Consul General noted that in recent years, with the close participation of the Council of Pakistan, the consulates of the three countries have held a number of events that bring together all three communities. The Consul General thanked the Turkish and Pakistani communities for their support last year in Azerbaijan's Patriotic War, the liberation of the Azerbaijani territories, and the establishment of justice. The diplomat said that during the occupation of Azerbaijani territories for 30 years, Armenia destroyed more than 10,000 square kilometers, including nine cities and 900 villages. Houses of more than 800,000 Azerbaijani IDPs were looted and demolished. Besides, Armenia destroyed 700 historical monuments and 927 libraries with 4.6 million books. The Consul General said that 65 out of 67 mosques were desecrated and destroyed during the occupation, and many mosques were turned into pig and cow stables. Aghayev noted that the liberated areas are currently being cleared of mines and restored, noting that Azerbaijan wants to establish lasting peace in the region. Then, a short film entitled "The most terrible genocide against culture in the XXI century" prepared by the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles was projected.

In his speech, Turkish Consul General Can Oguz noted the substantial contribution of the Turkish, Azerbaijani, and Pakistani communities to the rich diversity of California. He thanked law enforcement agencies for their efforts to ensure the security of all ethnic minorities. Noting the horrific murders of Turkish diplomats by Armenian terrorists in Los Angeles, Can Oguz said that radical Armenian groups still threatened Turkish and Azerbaijani diplomats. Expressing concern over the recent increase in hate attacks targeting Turks and Azerbaijanis in Los Angeles, the Consul General stressed the importance of strong solidarity and cooperation between the communities of Pakistan, Turkey, and Azerbaijan against these hostile acts.

There are now about 1 million Pakistanis in the United States and more than 250,000 in California, and the community's role in US politics is growing. The Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles, along with other communities, has been maintaining close relations with the Pakistani community for many years.
