Uzbek deputy minister: ICT sector needs joint investment projects

There is a need for joint investment projects in the ICT sector among regional countries, Olimjon Umarov, the Uzbek First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies, said at the INMerge Innovation Summit organized by PASHA Holding in Baku, Report informs.
According to Umarov, regional cooperation in the field of information technology is currently of great importance for Uzbekistan: "We are talking about startups and digital projects. In addition, we need to remove barriers related to the digital sphere."
Umarov noted that countries should improve their legislation in this regard: "Moreover, there should be regional programs in the field of information technology where information exchange and training will be conducted."
