Telegram launches monetization for channels

In Telegram, channel owners with 1000 or more subscribers have been allowed to receive 50% of the revenue from advertising. However, there are several countries where this feature is not yet available, according to the Telegram website, Report informs via RBC Ukraine.

In Telegram, administrators have announced that reward payments from the monetization program can be withdrawn without commission and can also be used to pay for advertising in Telegram, collectible addresses, or premium subscription giveaways.

The withdrawal of rewards will become available to channel owners on the Fragment platform in the coming weeks.

Telegram has also introduced a new type of advertising that can be paid for using Toncoin, a cryptocurrency based on the TON blockchain. These ads can be placed in certain selected channels, allowing advertisers to have full control over the context in which their ads are displayed.

However, users in several countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Palestine, and Israel, currently do not see advertisements based on TON, as announced by the messenger's administration.
