Number of post offices to reach 181 in Baku by 2040

By 2040, the number of post offices in Baku will reach 181, Report informs citing the master plan for the development of Baku until 2040.

By 2027, the number of post offices in the capital city will be increased to 163, which is ten times as much as in 2020, the period when the plan was developed.

According to the plan, there will be one post office for every 20,000 people, and in suburban villages of the capital city, one post office for every 5,000 people.

As of 2020, postal and financial services are provided to the population by 153 post offices of 6 postal branches of the national postal operator Azerpost LLC in Baku. At the same time, there are more than 150 private post offices in Baku providing express mail delivery services.
