​Reasons of problem with Internet in Azerbaijan revealed - UPDATED

Baku. 16 November. REPORT.AZ/ Internet service partially restored in Azerbaijan. However, access to most of the websites restricted in the country. At the same time internet speed is very low.

Report was told in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a fire took place in "Delta Telecom" which provides Azerbaijan with Internet and all the necessary equipment were damaged.

The fire was extinguished by employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Currently, Internet is provided through an alternative channels in the country, but speed is very slow.

But soon, the equipment will be replaced with the new ones and internet and its speed will be restored in the country.

A problem occurred in the continuous supply of the Internet in Azerbaijan. Internet providers and Internet users have problems with Internet access. Currently, the network has been disrupted.

Report was told in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Centre (ITC), due to the technical problems of the main Internet provider of telecommunications and information technologies in the market Delta Telecom company, the internet broadcasting network interruption problems have happened all over the country.

"At present, the Ministry of Communications and Information and Delta Telecom are trying to find out the reasons of this problem and to eliminate it," ITC said.
