Moshe Yaalon: 'We are dealing with an invisible and very dangerous enemy'

Governments need to invest more in cybersecurity technologies to protect their security, former Israeli Defense Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Moshe Yaalon said at the conference "Cyber-Secure Economy: Reforms, Innovative Approaches and Solutions," Report informs.

"Today we are talking about important technological systems. Cybersecurity is relevant for all of us. Now is the era when you need to use artificial intelligence to protect all systems of the state: government, civilian, military," he said.

According to Yaalon, Israel and Azerbaijan continue cooperation in various fields, and cyber security is one of them.

"Having two giant neighbors, Russia and Iran, Azerbaijan went through difficult times and also survived the war," he noted.

Israel now attaches particular importance to high technologies, including issues of increasing the level of cybersecurity, new developments that make it possible to strengthen it. In his opinion, new technologies will not only be able to help to combat challenges in cybersecurity, but also to find the criminals who commit cybercimes.

"Now we are in a kind of battle, where there is no physical enemy, but there are cyber attacks. They happen at high speeds and are very dangerous," the minister added.
