Eutelsat OneWeb tests high-speed LEO internet network in Baku

High-speed Internet testing of LEO network successfully completed in the center of Baku, Ahmet Eren, sales director for the Middle East and Central Asia at Eutelsat OneWeb, said at the Space Technology Conference (STC2025) in Baku, Report informs.
"We thought that there might be difficulties with Internet connection due to narrow streets and dense buildings in the center of Baku. However, during the test conducted by our company, high-speed and stable internet connection was provided using LEO satellite technology," he noted.
According to Eren, the company currently has 38-40 points-of-presence (POPs) around the world and a Satellite Network Portal (SNP): "The main POPs and SNPs for the Central Asian region are in Kazakhstan."
