Baku. 8 June. REPORT.AZ/ The European Union plans to abolish roaming tariffs with the Eastern Partnership countries. Report informs citing the Ukrainian media, this was stated by the head of the Eastern Partnership department in the EU External Action Service Boris Yaroshevich.

"If you are traveling through the countries of the Eastern Partnership initiative, or from these countries in Europe, then the roaming tax is very expensive. Roaming tax is canceled in Europe, and now we want to do the same with six partner countries”, - he said.

The Eastern Partnership program aimed at bringing the EU closer to its six eastern neighbors - Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus, has been implemented since 2009.

This initiative will be recorded in the Brussels Declaration, and it will take several years to complete the work. "

Notably, the European Parliament in April approved a regulation that allows the client during a trip to the EU member states to use local tariffs for telephone communication and mobile Internet.
