A significant increase in the number of people traveling to space is expected in the next 10 years, Samaddin
"The rapid development of space technologies shows that the number of people going to international space stations and into orbit in general will increase in the near future. This will include both astronauts and space tourists. This process makes medical subjects in space even more relevant. In general, space research and medicine are closely related. Solutions developed to sustain astronauts' lives in space have later been widely applied in medicine," Asadov emphasized.
According to him, many modern medical technologies and devices were first developed and tested for astronauts: "For example, ultrasound examination devices, lightweight vision and hearing equipment, as well as ear thermometers were initially created for astronauts. Later, these technologies began to be widely used in medicine."
